Runners
Designed by Paolo Bascetta
This modular tessellation is so named because of the pattern that is created. Folded from bronze rectangles (1:√3), 50mm (2") x 86.6mm (3.46") recommended.
This low intermediate origami design is folded from 54 rectangles and is categorized as "Tessellations".

This modular tessellation by Paolo Bascetta is so named because of the shapes that the rotating figures make. Here I've used 7 macro-modules, each comprised of 6-units, connected to each other with 12 special connecting units, resulting in 6 'runners'.
It's folded from a total of 54 bronze rectangles of red/black duo kraft paper. Each rectangle measures 50mm x 86.6mm. The overall tessellation measures approximately 174mm x 163mm. Of course, additional macro-modules can be added to the finished piece, giving an even more striking effect. Although the individual macro-module looks quite nice on it's own, a minimum of three macro-modules, connected in a triangular formation are required to see the effect, resulting in one 'runner'.
