I learnt how to fold this star during one of Evan's classes at the Origami Deutschland 2026 Convention in Bonn. This model is folded from 8 squares of green/gold duo kraft paper, each measuring 72.5mm. The completed model measures approximately 10.5cm at its widest point.

This is one of my favourite models in [Maria's Zen Origami](https://www.ezorigami.com/books/zen-origami-4a2e) book. It's folded from thirty 2:3 rectangles, of patterned paper, each measuring 2" x 3" (50.8mm x 76.2mm). The overall model measures approximately 12cm (4.75"), at its widest point.

I folded this model quite a long time ago, but never found a suitable method of backlighting it, until now. I particularly like the effect that backlighting the model gives. By placing a sheet of glass over the model (thus flattening it), I was able to get more defined colour changes, but decided that I preferred the softer lighting. It's folded from one square of orange kami, measuring 30cm. The overall model measures 15cm, side to side. To date, this is the most levels that I've managed to fold on an Hydrangea.

This model was a test fold, before I folded Infinity in a [nicer paper](https://www.ezorigami.com/folds/8-stage-infinity-79ea). It seemed a shame not to share it, especially as I was able to fold 10 stages. It's folded from 80 squares of green kami. Paper for the largest stage measures 150mm, and paper for the tenth stage measures just 13.52mm! The overall model measures 300mm between points.

This model is folded from 8 squares of red/gold duo kraft paper, each measuring 72.5mm. The completed model measures approximately 10cm at its widest point. I alternated the starting side of paper, for each unit, to give the pinwheel effect shown.

This model, is folded from 30 golden rectangles of kraft paper, each measuring 44.8mm x 72.5mm. The completed model measures approximately 11cm at its widest point. This photo shows the models five-fold symmetry, with an even colour distribution. The unit is almost identical to that of the [Rhombic Hexecontahedron](https://www.ezorigami.com/folds/rhombic-hexecontahedron-c3de), except both flaps are valley folds when viewed from the outside.

This model has been in progress for over half a year... I paused when I'd completed five stages, then completed the smallest three stages when I attended Origami Deutschland's 36th Convention, in Bonn. It's folded from 64 squares of silver/black duo kraft paper. The colours Evan picked seemed to work well, so I went with the same! Paper for the largest stage measures 100mm, and paper for the eighth stage measures just 15.38mm! The overall model measures 200mm between points.

This model, is folded from 57 squares of dyed pulp kraft paper, each measuring 48mm. The completed model measures 193mm x 223mm and the units hold together really well, (without glue). I learnt how to fold this when Evan taught it at OrigamiUSA's - Convention 2021.
